Fancy Dress Competition

Although perceived as a mere fun activity, fancy dress is of great benefit to children especially for kindergarten and for children that are in the foundation years for building their imagination and vocabulary.

To enhance creativity, imagination and build confidence; a Fancy Dress Compeition was conducted for the students of L.K. G, U. K. G, Grade I to III on 13th January, 2023 in Dhaya International School. The students participated in huge numbers and showcased their versatility.

The children dressed as freedom fighters, national leaders, foods, tamil poets, animals, famous person were brilliant in their own way. It was a delight from start to finish with children, in an array of glittering costumes including that of Jhansi Rani Lakshmibai, Swami Vivekanand, Rani Velu Nachiyar, junk food, Radhai, Newspaper, Thiruvalluvar, police, Army man, flower, angel... etc mouthing famous dialogues and slogans, leaving the audience enthralled. They were all smartly dressed up and took part with much enthusiasm. The students presented themselves by sharing information about the characters they depicted. They all looked vibrant in their colorful and different costumes and played their parts confidently.The students were given an opportunity to speak in front of others and bring forth their talents.

Kids are eager to learn so much about Mother Nature, the animals and birds that live in that habitat. They first visited the bird enclosure where they got to see a few beautiful peacocks and peahens, a jungle fowl, and some sociable and highly intelligent parrots. Jumping with excitement students witnessed numerous animals which they had only seen on their television sets. From deer to monkey, rabbits, tortoise, alligators, crocodiles etc. students got a chance to closely observe each one of animals present. Our little ones beamed with joy as monkeys jumped from one branch of the tree to another.

What matters most in such events is not winning or losing, but participation.
